Hottest gifts for 2010 holiday season.
As a devoted follower of the gritty underbelly internet job search, I am here to offer you tips and tricks, tips and insights into the 2010 holiday shopping season. With a down economy, I'm sure you'll hear people at CNBC, GMA tells how the holiday shopping season will be worse than expected, and from the point of view in the stores, it will likely be true. There are plenty of unemployed people out there, and their ability to go out and buy a new $ 700 iPads will definitely be limited.
, but I ran across an interesting statistic on the event mentioned in the beginning studenog.Stopa unemployment is between 4 and 5%, if you have a college degree. Now I realize that many people out there who are hurting, but occasionally shocking and horrible news focus may obscure some bright spots in the world. While retailers may suffer as a result, a few lean years could be very good for society, it can force them to consolidate their gains and refocus on its core products and demographics. This is really good for us as consumers. This means that retailers will be more willing to engage in some serious offers and enticements to us in their store and keep us as customers.
and a welcome return to some lean times. For while it is too easy for companies like Best Buy or Apple to get consumers to buy their products. I want them to have to work for my dollar, at least a little. And we will all benefit from a bit of flexibility on part of Apple. On the one hand, observe that the company has set prices for their products that accurately reflect production costs, but Apple is also behavior that remind me of monopolistic practices. So it's hard to tell if they are the only honest technology machine, or if their influence has to have set backs Apple fanboy.
In any case, the popularity of
IPAD: This will be the first Christmas with IPAD availability. I'm a bit ambivalent about the IPAD, but I can see that a great fit for many people. I'm not convinced that the pills do nothing more than a netbook with a steep premium for the Apple logo, I remain unconvinced. Which is to say that I will be hoping Santa brings my personal IPAD, but I can see why a lot of people will want them. If you are a laptop owner, but use the hell out of your smartphone, then you might IPAD is a natural extension for you. My biggest hesitation in relation to the tablets I'm not sure if it replaces anything, or just makes my bag heavier.
iPhone4: I must admit that I bought new iPhone4, my first iPhone! I was really on the fence about jumping ship from VZW and signing on the iPhone, but what tipped the balance for me Verizon iPhone.Mjeri which includes Verizon iPhone is that at some point in 2011, Verizon may get iPhone, maybe. Moreover, there will be iPhone5, it will basically be a CDMA iPhone1. Apple is in the process of significantly redesigning the iPhone be compatible with Verizon over a standard CDMA network. Remember all the issues that Apple and ATT is, do you think will be different with Verizon? I always complain about an early adopter. You are inevitably better than waiting for V2.0, but rushing into what amounts to an extended beta testing stage. Now I will not be alone in thinking this way as the iPad, this is the first Christmas for iPhone4. It also looks sooo good. They really stepped up with the aesthetics of iPhone4 and retina display is also very sharp. (Wipes drool from chin) Moving on.
digital book readers: I'm a big reader of books, I think I read over 100 books in 2010, but I I'm an analog guy book. I like turning pages, see my progress through the book as I read it. So, I e-reader candidate. But they are getting much better and more popular. For the same reason as I am getting second or 3 generation of anything, I think it is now time to consider buying Amazon Kindle or Sony offers.
Amazon Kindle: This is turning into a very nice reading products. It is lightweight (just 8.5 ounces in the latest version), it has an impressive battery life (up to 1 month if you only read books with Wi-Fi off), a screen interface is easy on the eyes. It is also striking is very comfortable with the price of two versions that are available under $ 200. Basic Wi-Fi only model to $ 139.00, a 3G enabled device 189.00 dolara.Zapaliti DX has a large screen at 9.7 ", a big price tag at $ 379.00.
One of my biggest hesitation with the digital book reader is that one trick pony. I like my technology to the Swiss Army knife. I am hesitant to buy something you can only do one thing, unless it can do very well. I think I could do that Kindle books good enough to justify the limited use of uređaj.Zapaliti can cope better with the PDF, so you could use for work or school.
NOTE: believe that the best gifts are evergreen. They held to the test of time and remain useful for over the next 6 months. So, this is one of my main criteria for selecting items to this list. However, not everything on this list is an evergreen, not all the gifts this holiday season should last for years to come. There should be one or two that are good and short.
Call of Duty Black Ops: available only for PS3, Xbox360, Wii, and Windows, it will be one of the hot games for this sezonu.Igranja looks outstanding and considered very good. Also a little plug for a really clever advertising and "There All the U.S. soldiers in" truly excellent ads. It really is the position of a game that could be viewed as a "boys game" for a wider audience and helps expand the demographic appeal.
Blu-ray player with streaming movies: Again, I like to wait several iterations of new technologies before I adopt it and I think Blu-ray is finally here. I'm not about to go out and replace all my DVDs with Blu-ray, but I am willing to pay the extra few dollars when I buy movies from now on. I recently got Netflix streaming hooked through my TV and that's great. After Netflix is much smoother than connecting to a computer via TV. Although the selection leaves much to be desired, it is great to be able to watch quality movies on demand. Voodoo is another streaming service that seems to have a better choice, but at a steeper price. If you're ready to upgrade to Blu-ray may kick in an extra $ 30 or so for a streaming service.
Netbooks: I would recommend that people go and buy the new MacBook Air, but I can not do it. I'm sure this is a great computer that works well and is super light, and this is the second generation, which meets my "wait for it" rule. But at 2-3 times the price of comparable netbook, it's too steep of a premium for me.
I tried to keep my list of mostly gender neutral, although I realize that is a slight bias towards the male. But I will make several recommendations for women in your life: shoes and bags. That about exhausts that I have good advice on what to buy. But I have an important warning about what not to buy. Do not buy a camera for Christmas. Even if you and your significant other are talking about getting a chest freezer for some time now. Do not buy it for Christmas. Nothing says, "Honey, I think you should spend more time cooking for me," quite like coffee. Trust me on this, make the front of the washer / dryer Thanksgiving gift if you want, keep trips to Home Depot from Christmas
